SHU SHU Independent Publishing.

SHU SHU was founded in Beijing in 2018. It is a small independent publishing studio. We are concerned about society, education and art, and use "books" as the medium to create and practice. SHU SHU is currently working on two projects, POD ZINE and the Childish series, where the creators are all focusing on the youth demographic, mostly children and teenagers between the ages of 5-17 years old, who participate as observers and creators, and in doing so provide a new perspective and discussion for viewers and readers.

In 2024, SHU SHU will start a new project called "Kayak", which focuses on and explores the Chinese diaspora of our era through artists' books.

2024年，SHU SHU将开启一个全新的项目”皮筏艇“，通过艺术家书，关注和书写离散状态中的细枝末节。

The POD Zine was launched in 2018, featuring teenagers themselves showing and discussing their lives and opinions.POD focuses on some serious social issues, with the three issues published so far being Violence, Which is Witch? and The Wall, the latest issue LUXUN Re-visited (tentative title) is underway.

Childish Independent Publishing Program. Each book shows the real stories and thoughts of children today. These books remind us that we must not forget that in these stories there is perseverance, boldness, tolerance and rationality, strengths that the river of life gives to each of us that we do not normally associate with children.

Childish currently publishes The Child Who Became a Seed, Best friend, A Tale of a Little Man‘s Injury, A Tale of Tuding’s Injury, This is Me, Mom, What Are We Having Today? Ultraman, My World/Minecraft, This is Tummy, Mom, Where are you?.
